7.5 MW Biomass Based Power Project at Mancherial, Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh.
This is the first power project executed by the Shalivahana Green Energy Limited, the flagship Company of the group. The plant was commissioned in December 2002 at a total Project Cost of 2585.40 lakhs. The plant is located in an area admeasuring 11.9 acres located at about 1.5 km from the Mancherial town.
Primary fuels used are rice husk, paddy straw, saw dust and cotton stalk supplemented by permitted quantity of coal. The main equipment of the power plant are Boiler (Fluidised Bed Combustion model or Travel Grate model) and Steam Turbine Generator (STG). In addition, the plant has all necessary auxiliary systems and all other utilities required for the power plant.
The plant is operated successfully at its full capacity from the date of commissioning without any interruption and supplying the generated power to A.P.Transco.
7.5 MW Biomass based Power Project at Tumkur District, Karnataka State.
Shalivahana Green Energy Limited has acquired Konark Power Projects Limited having a 7.5 MW biomass based power project at Tumkur District, Karnataka. The licence to set up the unit was issued by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Authority ( state Govt. nodal agency). The unit was established in area admeasuring 12.65 acres located in Tumkur District of Karnataka State. Project site is 70 kms from Bangalore City and 10 kms from Tumkur Railway Station. The generated power is exported to BESCOM’s Grid.
The main fuels used in the plant are Rice Husk, Coconut Shell Fiber etc. The plant was commissioned in the year of 2003. The plant is running successfully from the date of commissioning.
10 MW biomass based Power Project at Yavatmal District, Maharashtra.
Shalivahana Green Energy Limited set up a 10.00 MW Power Project based on Biomass to generating 79.2 Million Units of electrical energy in the State of Maharashtra with a total cost of Rs. 41.00 Crores. The project has been sanctioned by the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) and Financed by IREDA and IDBI.
Project Location: 20 Acres of land has been acquired for the project at Village. Chanaka, Wani Tahsil, Yavatmal District of Maharashtra. The required 84000 Tons of Biomass is abundantly available within 50 kms radius from the location. The required water will be drawn from the ‘Penuganga River’, which is 2 kms away from the project.
All statutory clearances including NOC form Pollution Control board have already been obtained. The Company has entered into an Energy Purchase Agreement (EPA) with the State Electricity Board (MAHA Discom) for a period of 13 years.
The project was commissioned on 17.1.2008.
10.00 MW Biomass Based Power Project at Nagpur Dist. of Maharashtra.
This project has been allotted by the Govt. of Maharashtra to Rake Power Limited which is a 100% subsidiary Company to Shalivahana Green Energy Ltd., The Company set up this 10.00 MW Power Project based on Biomass to generate 79.20 MU with the total cost of Rs. 41.00 Crores in Nagpur District. The debt portion of the project as been financed by IDBI and UCO Bank.
Project Location: 17 Acres of land has been acquired for the project at Village Patgowari, Tahsil. Ramtek, District. Nagpur, Maharashtra. The required Biomass is abundantly available within 50 kms radius from the location. The required water will be drawn from the ‘Pench River’, which is 8 kms away from the project.
All the statutory clearances including NOC form Pollution Control board have already been obtained. The Company has entered into an Energy Purchase Agreement (EPA) with the State Electricity Board (MAHA Discom).
The project was commissioned during 25th July 2008
12.00 MW MSW Based Power Project at Karimnagar Dist. of Andhra Pradesh.
This project has been allotted by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to Shalivahana (MSW) Green Energy Limited which is a 100% subsidiary Company to Shalivahana Green Energy Ltd., The Company set up this 12.00 MW MSW Based Power Project to generate 79.20 MU with the total cost of Rs. 63.83 Crores in Karimnagar District. The debt portion of the project as been financed by ILFS.
Project Location: 23 Acres of land has been acquired for the project at Village Rebladevpally, Mandel Sultanabad, District. Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh. The required MSW is collected from Karimnagar & Adilabad Districts of A.P. The required water will be drawn from the ‘Maneru River’, which is 10 kms away from the project.

3.4 MW Wind power project at Tirupur Dist. of Tamilnadu.
Rasipalayam site is located approximately 70 kms from Coimbatore. This site has a source of wind from palagat wind pass.Expected Plant Load Factor (PLF) is 27%. Elevation of the site is 320m above msl.Annual Wind Speed at 20m height is about 7.5m/sec. The annual mean wind power density is 205 w/m
